Happy farm fact Friday! Ever wondered how we decide where to plant? Here’s one of the things we look for! .

We’re testing out a few new grafts this season and have high hopes that they take! To graft a new type of branch we cut down to the cambium layer on both pieces and seal them up tight to grow together. This season we grafted some pluots and ginger gold apples onto existing trunks!

Who else loves spring? We just can’t get enough!

The answer? □□□blossom thinning! The ropes attached to the tractor drag through the nectarine branches to knock off some of the tree’s blossoms - this is the secret to big, juicy fruit!
